You never know who you're going to meet while waiting for a bus. Dan and Chris came together over the shared love of beer. Chris has been homebrewing for fifteen years and Dan was looking to learn the art of beer making. One day, as Chris tells it, while brewing in his garage, "we just looked at each other and said 'let's do this thing, let's live our dream, create a business around our passion."

AC Golden solicited the help of over 500 growers from around the state for their all-Colorado-ingredient beer; Colorado Native. They sent out over 1100 rhizomes to "average joe" hop growers and now are using these hops in their latest batch of beer. Glenn Knippenberg of AC Golden gives us some insight.

It was hot. 98 degrees hot, even in the shade of a sleeping Brahma bull. But the heat didn't quell the enthusiasm of a record crowd of over 600 craft beer lovers who attended the 8th annual Foam Fest at the Colorado State Fair on Saturday.

It's true that, over the last 6 months, several breweries in Colorado have bitten the proverbial dust and had to close. They'll be missed, but not for long. There are many, many new ones gearing up to take their place.
