Snowmass Chili Pepper & Brewfest
The International Chili Society holds its two chili competitions and tastings in Snowmass, while microbrewers face off in a prestigious summer ale competition with two brew sampling sessions for festival-goers, featuring 70 plus breweries. New this year, there will be a European and exotic beer tasting tent, making the weekend one of the premier music and beer festivals in the nation. Fanny Hill rocks with hot music all weekend. No Pets Allowed, please.

Taste of Elegance Chefs Food & Beer Pairing Competition. 6 to 9:30pm at
the Outdoor Pavilion at The Omni Interlocken Resort, Broomfield, CO. The Taste of Elegance is a signature foodie event, produced by Wine Country Network. This edition pairs award winning craft beers with outstanding culinary creations prepared by 13 Colorado Master Chefs. A professional panel of judges will choose the "Best Chef" and "Most Creative Chef". All attendees will vote for "The People's Choice Chef".

Palisade Bluegrass & Roots Festival
Make plans to be at the Third Annual Palisade Bluegrass and Roots Music Festival on June 10, 11, and 12, 2011. The festival is held right on the banks of the Colorado River in Riverbend Park - a stunning festival venue with over 110 acres of beautiful riverfront scenery, complete with pavilions, a playground, a boat launch, fishing ponds, a winding bike path and the valley's premiere disc golf course.

Country Club Classic
The Country Club Classic is a beer tasting with a golf theme. Held at RedLine Gallery in Denver, 7pm-11pm. There is no actual golf involved in the event. Participants will sample three beers from 9 local breweries (aka 9 "holes") and attempt to match the beer they are sampling with an option provided. Participants can complete the tasting in any order. All beers must be tasted and scorecards turned-in by 10:00 p.m. in order to be eligible to win prizes. Scorecards and tasting cups will be provided at the event. This is a fundraiser for the American Lung Association. Registration is $30 for the first 100 guests.

Bristol Brewing Cheyenne Canyon Ale Party
To celebrate the release of Cheyenne Canyon Ale, a Pinon Nut Brown Ale, and the park and the people who nurture it, Bristol Brewing is throwing a huge party, complete with gold panning, Venetucci Farm snacks crafted by Blue Sage Catering, and great gear and beer swag giveaways. As part of the festivities, UpaDowna (as in Up a mountain, Down a beer) will be hosting a guided hike in the canyon, led by the iconic Ranger Ron. The party, the food and the good karma are free. The beer (as always) is extremely reasonably priced. The fun all starts at 5:00 on Thursday, June 30th in our Tasting Room.

Beers Made By Walking - First Hike
This is a summer-long event series and beer program, created by blogger Eric Steen of Focus On The Beer. Throughout the summer there will be seven public hikes led by local homebrewers and a naturalist. They will identify edible and medicinal plants along the hike and then those ingredients will be used to make new beers over at Rocky Mountain Brewing. This first hike will be with Justin Carpenter at Garden of the Gods at 6pm.
