Northstar Imperial Porter Release Party @ Twisted Pine
Join us for an exclusive vertical tasting of 5 different vintages of Northstar Imperial Porter ranging in age from 2004 to 2009. These beers have changed significantly as they have aged and have all developed very unique flavors. Don't miss the opportunity to attend this special event with discussions led by owner Bob Baile, brewer Eric Mosiman and brewer Jeff Brumley. Sign up early as space is limited. Please call, email or stop by the brewery for reservations.

$20 in advance, $25 at the door includes 5 - 6oz samples, a 1 1/2 hour educational session and a commemorative Northstar Imperial glass. 6:00 - 7:30 pm.

All Colorado Beer Festival
The 2009 All Colorado Beer Festival will be held on November 7, 2009 at Mr. Biggs Event Center in Colorado Springs. There will be two sessions starting at noon and 5:30. Each session runs four and a half hours and includes a tasting glass and all the 2-ounce samples you can responsibly consume of over 70 beers from more than 30 of the best Colorado brewers. Once again there will be entertainment at each session. All proceeds generated by the festival are donated to local nonprofit organizations. Tickets are $25.

Ho Ho Ho Slapdown
When I asked the brewers their thoughts on our winter/holiday beers this year, it quickly became clear that everyone had their own ideas and they were all quite different. So, rather than compromise, we decided to make 3! Bill, Lachlan and I are all making our own beers.(Well technically, they brewed my recipe for me while I was stuck pushing paper around the office). As you can imagine, a little trash talking has ensued so we've decided to sweeten the pot and make it a competition! You get to decide whose is best at the Inaugural Ho Ho Ho Slapdown competition. The winner will have their beer bottled in about 600-1,000 bombers which we'll then sell as our first bottled product. He'll also having bragging rights back in the brewery for the next year. The Avery Tap Room now has local musicians showcasing their acoustic talents every Thursday evening. Stop by, have a brew and enjoy the tunes!

Sunday Open-Mic
Open Mic Sundays hosted by Hotfoot from 2:30 - 6:00 PM at the Avery Tap Room. Bands interested in playing should be at the Tap Room by 2pm to sign up with Shawn from Hotfoot. Email kellner@averybrewing.com with any questions.

Monthly pool tournaments
On the first Thursday of every month, put your skills to the test in a double-elimination pool tournament, starting at 8pm. There is a $10 entry fee.

Bronco Games, Sept 13-12/31
Bristol Brewing will be showing Bronco games at the Brewery. $5 beer and taco special from 1–5pm.
