BRU celebrates American Craft Beer Week

BRU handbuilt ales & eats is excited to toast the country's craft beer industry during the tenth annual American Craft Beer Week. To kick things off, Beer Chef / Founder Ian Clark has crafted a delicious Beer Dinner on May 11th.

The sixth course menu brings together the world of food and beer with dishes including Salmon Crudo with mint oil, shaved fresno, castelvetrano olive, and a basil chip and Smoked Pork Loin and Crab Roulade with purple potato gnocci, wood roasted spring mushrooms, and yellow pepper puree paired with the 2014 GABF Silver Medal Winner LOCH Wee Heavy Scotch Ale.

Throughout the week join them all day every day for $3 pints of their rotating ale and a daily chance to win a growler fill for the year.

WHO: BRU handbuilt ales & eats
5290 Arapahoe, Boulder, CO 80303

WHAT: Celebrating the 10th Annual American Craft Beer Week

WHEN: May 11th - 17th

ABOUT BRU HANDBUILT ALES & EATS:
Bringing together the art of food and beer. At BRU handbuilt ales & eats Beer Chef / Founder Ian Clark pairs his passion and knowledge for deliciously crafted food with his never filtered, naturally carbonated ales. Some dishes even use beer (or the ingredients) like the Wood Roasted PEI Mussels with pickled lemon, citrum ipa broth, cured pork, and sourdough toast, The BRU Wood Roasted Sourdough Pizza made with ipa tomato sauce, ale sausage, kale, and smoked shallots or the Ice Cream Sandwich made with spent grain chocolate chip cookies and housemade malt ice cream. The beers nod to Ian's kitchen career as well; Obitus American Brown Ale handbuilt with roasted dates and caramelized sugar or his Citrum IPA handbuilt with fresh lemon zest and juniper are just a few of the 14 rotating ales on tap. Open daily for lunch and dinner and all day happy hour every Tuesday.

AMERICAN CRAFT BEER WEEK:
"American Craft Beer Week allows everyone to honor and toast the hard work and success of the craft beer community," said Julia Herz, publisher of CraftBeer.com and craft beer program director at the Brewers Association. "Against many odds, craft brewers have used grassroots efforts to grow the industry one glass, one bottle, one can, one keg, one growler and one customer at a time."

Fort Love Brewers Jamboree

The 2015 Fort Love Brewers Jamboree was created by the Loose Affiliation of Fort Collins Craft Brewers (LAFCCB) a group consisting of the craft brewers in Fort Collins and Loveland. This event is envisioned as a journey through craft beer at a slower pace. Our goal is to put craft into the festival experience with a focus on the great culture of Fort Collins and Loveland breweries.

This premiere event is for brewers, beer lovers and family and will have an emphasis on beer tasting, education, and brewers telling the stories of their journey into the craft beer industry.

What's beer without good food?
Admission to the Fort Love Brewers Jamboree will include small plates of food to pair with beer.

Why not support a cause?
The Cache La Poudre River and Big Thompson are vital natural resources to the communities in Northern Colorado. Also, water is a main ingredient in beer which is why we are supporting water advocacy and the proceeds will support Save the Poudre.

3rd Annual Front Range Rally

The Front Range Rally is a festival celebrating Colorado's rich culture of craft brewing and the emergence of a growing cadre of quality mobile food vendors. The two certainly go hand-in-hand and are a logical choice to support the work of Food Bank for Larimer County.

Last year, 40 craft breweries and 10 food vendors served up an amazing array of unique food and fantastic beer. If you were there, you know what a blast it was. With 50 craft breweries and 12 food trucks, they're working to make it even better this year.

One hundred percent of the net proceeds from the festival go directly to Food Bank for Larimer County. In 2014, with a staff of 34 and over 2,400 volunteers, Food Bank provided more than 8.9 million pounds of food to thousands of people who struggle each day to feed themselves and their families. Front Range Rally is proud to be part of their mission.

Plan to join in on Saturday May 30, 2015 at the LOVELAND FOOD SHARE, 2600 N. Lincoln, Loveland, CO for an afternoon of food, beer, music, fun and community.
