A new map and guide to Colorado beer delivers on an ages-old promise.
Free Beer.
The new 3rd Edition Beer Drinker’s Guide to Colorado was released yesterday at
The Great American Beer Festival in Denver, and consumers with a thirst
for knowledge are excited about the new, updated product. It’s a large
(27” x 39”) beautifully printed full-color map with a detailed
topo-physical map on the front that “pint-points” the locations of 121
Colorado brewing operations, from bucket brewers to megabrewers spread all
across the state.
The updated and fully revised map allows the reader to tap into a wealth
of information about beer, including beer styles, glassware descriptions,
beer making, and detailed facts on every Colorado brewing operation. There
are lists of historic and notable saloons, bars for beer geeks, and
homebrewing shops. Current Colorado travel info includes the lowdown on
state and national parks, driving distances, local taxi and bus contacts,
ski areas and fourteeners.
The new 3rd Edition Beer Drinker’s Guide to Colorado is also recognized as
a Space Imagination Product by the Space Foundation’s Space Certification
Program. Established in cooperation with NASA this program promotes the
practical, life-enhancing benefits of space technology here on earth. For
this map, enhanced GPS-enabled measurements were used in the table of
fourteener elevations, and new SRTM digital elevation model data was
incorporated into the relief map.
But what about the Free Beer?
Every map comes packaged with over $100 worth of coupons for free beer,
free food and other great deals at breweries, brewpubs and retailers
across the state. Coupon partners include 17 Colorado businesses: Aspen

Brewing, Durango Brewing, Front Range Barbeque, Grand Lake Brewing, High
Country Home & Garden, McClellan’s Grill & Brewing, Odell Brewing Company,
Phantom Canyon Brewing, Rocky Mountain Brewery, Shamrock Brewing, Ska

The map is available folded for convenient deployment in a glovebox, or
rolled for display on the wall. It comes laminated, too, and is sold at
over 85 retail partners including bookstores, liquor stores, restaurants,
brewers, homebrew suppliers and other retailers. The map can also be purchased here.
